"HE LEADS ME BESIDE STILL WATERS....." Psalm 23:2B
"Still waters" are waters that flow very slowly and calmly; they bring much peace and rest to one's spirit. One of the most relaxing things in life is the sound of a bubbling brook or flowing stream of water......it is something that brings you to a place of calm, where you can focus without any distractions.
In Hebrew, the words for 'still water' in Psalms 23:2b "Mai Menochot", meaning literally "restful waters". Our Shepherd wants to lead us to a place
of rest, a place of trust, a place of confidence, a place where you rely on Him and focus on Him without anything that will distract you. He wants to take the "heavy load" from your life and replace it with His everlasting peace and rest.
Also the word of God says" Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest. "Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and YOU SHALL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOUL. Matthew 11:28-30 (we are to give him all our burdens and He will carry them for us and in that He gives us rest, peace, that peace that passes All understanding) This is never more true than in the hour we are living in today.
Be Blessed
